Adeliene has been a busy girl the last few days.  Here's a few of her recent activities...

Hanging out with her brother, Buckley.

Getting excited for football season.  Go Frogs!

Working out in her legwarmers.  Maybe she can star in a remake of Flashdance in a few years...although I'm not sure I want her playing the part of a exotic dancer/welder from Pittsburgh??!!

Taking her first real nap in her crib...on her belly, of course.

National Harbor

We had a fun day at the National Harbor last weekend with the Brooks family and Nana.

There was a lot going on, so Addie held on tightly to Daddy.

1 month

Adeliene turned 1 month old on August 26!  

For her birthday, she had a visit to the doctor (probably not her first choice for a birthday activity).

She's a big girl now....9 lbs 5 ounces, 22 inches long!

Addie did some serious playing this morning.  She wore her awesome wrist rattles for the first time, and man did she get those baby arms going!

the earthquake

Well, Addie officially experienced her first (and hopefully only) earthquake!  That's right, we had a real deal earthquake right here in Virginia....a 5.9er...on Addie's 4 week bday!

Don't let my seemingly calm blog post fool you....I was totally freaking out when it happened....there was a loud rumbling and the whole house was shaking for about 20 seconds but that was it....nothing fell, nothing broke, no damage.

So what did Addie do while all of this was happening, you ask?  She slept.  Yep, she was napping on the couch and slept right through it....even when I threw myself over her and then promptly scooped her up to run outside when it stopped...never made a peep.

Newborns sure do like to sleep and Baby Addie is no exception!  I know it seems like I post an awful lot of sleeping photos, but it's generally easier to take pics when she's not moving and my hands are free!

But occasionally, Addie is awake while we are asleep.  She's being really good about quietly just checking stuff out so her daddy can nap.

We're always trying to take as many photos as we can of our beautiful baby....and we often end up with close-ups of her baby face taken with our phones as we're holding/feeding/changing her!

3 weeks old

Adeliene is 3 weeks old today!  To celebrate, she took a nap on the couch...

Baby Clothes

Baby Addie has some of the cutest clothes around, and I promise to post more pics of her all dressed up.  But for hangin at the house she pretty much lives in a white t-shirt and her comfy cloth diapers.

She decided to dress like Daddy on Wednesday, so they both wore their white t-shirts and gray sweatshorts...

Sometimes she wears super cute pants like these with a kitty on the butt....an adorable gift from Tommy & Louise!

Once Addie got the hang of it, she rolled over a whole bunch!  Here's one of the many vidos captured by Brad...

She needed a little paci time after all of her hard work!

2 weeks old

Adeliene is 2 weeks old today! 

I asked her how old she is for this picture and she held up 3 fingers instead of 2....little girls are always in a hurry to grow up, aren't they!

This is not a lie....

It's true....we officially have the most advanced baby ever.  I will admit that I had my doubts (as did Brad's parents) when Brad told me that our Addie Lou rolled over (from tummy to back) Sunday night while she was having tummy time on her playmat.

It happened once and Brad tried desperately to wake me up from my nap on the couch to watch it again....of course, I couldn't keep my eyes open and missed it a second time!

So...Monday morning we tried it again and guess what....She Did It!  I witnessed it myself, along with gram and grandpa.  There was a ridiculous amount of clapping and cheering (and maybe even a few tears) from all!

So check off one milestone...Adeliene officially rolled over when she was only 12 days old!

Brad has been trying to videotape it ever since, so stayed tuned for that post....
