2 months

I can't believe Addie turned 2 months old on Monday!  It's crazy how fast she is growing and changing!

She wasn't feeling great for the last couple of days - after her shots at her 2 month doctor visit.  They are hard for me to handle...I instantly tear up....A very special thanks to Tiffany for coming with me for emotional support!  Addie & I are so lucky to have such nice friends.

But today Addie is all better and making some cute faces while I snap away photos on my phone....

But she only has so much patience...eventually she starts to get sick of my picture taking.

And then I get the sad lower lip....a pretty regular Addie face around here.

But then Buckley got in there and gave her a big wet kiss on the face, and she cheered up!

difficult decision

After an extensive photo shoot with my favorite photographer, Jennifer, I am pleased to say that I have finally chosen a photo for Addie's official announcement....but you'll have to wait for that one until the announcement comes!

Choosing the photo has really made me more understanding and appreciative of some of the other baby announcements that I've seen.  You know the ones....the baby is cute and all but you're wondering, "What made them choose THAT photo?"  Well, I will admit that I considered choosing most of the photos posted below...the sillier the face, the cuter I seemed to think it was!

So please enjoy some of Addie's pics that I think are majorly adorable....and hilarious....and, for better or worse, did not make the final cut for the big announcement!

addie's feet

Addie is really into her feet right now...actually, we both are.  She hasn't quite found them on her own yet, but she loves for them to be tickled and kissed...so much that she basically sticks them straight up and in my face demanding that they be kissed anytime that she is on her back...which I happily agree to.  I mean, check out how cute those baby feet are!

bathtime

Addie wasn't too fond of her baths a few weeks ago, but now she loves them.  She's really starting to splash around in there now, so I don't think I'm going to be able to set her tub on the living room floor anymore...it might have gotten a little bit wet this morning!

7 weeks

I can't believe Adeliene turned 7 weeks old on Tuesday!

She had a check up at the doctor's office today and you'll never believe how big she is....10 pounds 9 ounces!!!

I love my chubby little baby!

getting bigger

Addie is getting big so fast!  She's almost 10 pounds already....she's starting to make a lot of cute baby noises instead of just crying....and you can occasionally get her to smile at you.

Nana got the first real smile on Thursday.  I tried to get one too and she stuck her bottom lip out as far as she could instead!  But I managed to get her to give me one this morning and it was awesome!

I tried to get some good smile pics, but she was getting tired so I just got a bunch of yawns...still pretty darn cute, in my opinion.

We went to Old Town this afternoon to take a walk by the water and enjoy the nice day.  I enjoyed it and Addie enjoyed a nap.

But she's not always tired (trust me).  Here she is showing the woodland animals on her playmat who's boss.

hello again

It's been a little while since my last post because we've been busy with visitors.  Auntie Sarah came from Indiana with her boyfriend, Ryan, to meet her niece.

Addie was super excited to hang out with them!

They brought her the most adorable present....it's called a "giggle bug" and it has the sweetest little laugh
