exciting new stuff

1.  After almost an entire summer of trying to put sunglasses on Addie - with Adds pulling them immediately off - I made one last attempt.  I put them on right as she got in her trike for a walk on a sunny day and, wouldn't you know it, she just went ahead and left them on!  Now she's a super cool sunglasses-wearing little girl!

2.  Baby Cake is now officially a walker...and that's pretty much all she wants to do now!  So, I figured she should have a pretty pedicure for those hard-working toes.  I couldn't believe it, but she sat totally still on the  floor after her bath tonight and watched me paint her tiny toe nails!  So I just kept going....glittery heart decals and a good blow dry to make sure it lasts!

I was so excited to tell Brad about it when he came home...he thought it was cool, but wasn't nearly as excited about it as I was (I almost started crying while I was painting)...such a sweet girly bonding moment for Mommy & Addie Lou.

3.  Nothing new here....just another pretty pic of my babe...

We finally made it to Indiana for a proper visit with new baby Charlie & her proud parents!

She is the sweetest little thing with the chubbiest little cheeks!

She loves snuggling, taking bubble baths & giving her lambie kisses on the mouth  (one of the cutest things I've ever seen)!

We did lots of photo shoots of baby C and her mommy & daddy....

Addie had so much fun playing with her Uncle Ryan, Auntie Sarah & her baby (girl) cousin!

 But it wasn't all fun & games for Baby Cake - she spent every morning working really hard reorganizing the kitchen cabinets....

 And she had a few photo shoots of her own...

 We sure do miss you guys already!  Can't wait to see you again soon!

1st bday, part 2

birthday party - part one

Addie Lou is one!  Can you believe it?  Before I give you the first few pics of  the start of her "pink lemonade" themed party, I want to take a second to share some things that I love about my amazing little girl...

She is the most affectionate little thing.  Smiles, hugs & now sweet kisses on the lips for everyone!  She just started patting me on the back with one hand when she hugs me, which I think is just about the cutest thing ever!

She's awesome at sharing.  In fact, when she grabbed her first handful of birthday cake frosting, she offered it to Mommy before she even took a bite!

She's absolutely beautiful.  I mean, look at this girl - posing for pretty pictures like a regular super model!

Happy Birthday, Baby Cake

Adeliene turned 1 year old on July 26th!  She had a super fun party on Saturday and there were so many great pictures taken by her friends & family that's it's taking me a while to go through all of them and get them on the blog!  So here are 2 cute pics to hold you over until I can get a proper first birthday post up...stay tuned!

family vacation

We recently returned from a super fun vacation with the Wolfe side of our family.  Yep, 8 adults and 5 little kiddos taking Denver by storm!

First stop - the Denver aquarium - which was pretty cool!

There were mermaids that swam around in the tanks with the fish - it was really neat!

Once we had our fill of the fish, we headed outside and took a train ride.

The next day was Landon's 2nd birthday, and we started the day at the zoo!

Baby Cake needed a quick nap!

The Denver zoo was pretty amazing...I thought these HUGE grizzly bears were the best!

All the kiddos took a ride on the carousel...

The next day was super hot, so we headed to a splash park to cool off!
